Japan's Panasonic Corporation has signed an agreement with Ford Motor Company to supply lithium-ion battery cells for its upcoming electric and electric-hybrid vehicles.

As Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) ramps up its production of next generation automobiles it also plans to ramp up its workforce. The auto manufacturer has announced it will hire more than 7,000 new employees within the next two years.
