Poland Ups the Ante on Its Clean Energy Plans

Poland aims to produce nearly 9% percent of its energy from renewables in 2011, increasing that figure to as much as 13% in 2015 and ultimately reaching almost 17% in 2019, according to a government statement issued this week. Lawmakers hope to take up new clean energy-friendly legislation in the second quarter of this year.
