Forget Going Green, It's Time to Develop a Blue Economy

With so many talking about the green economy, the World Congress on Zero Emissions Initiatives wants to buck the trend and talk about a blue economy.

The Congress' blue economy is based off developing over one hundred business breakthroughs that have proven their merit and competitiveness.  The business ideas are related to energy, health, housing, transportation, waste and water, and food.

Leading entrepreneurs and world leaders will discuss the one hundred plus innovations at the World Congress on Zero Emissions Initiatives -- Launching "The Blue Economy" event in Honolulu, Hawaii September 13 to September 17, 2010.  Keynote speakers at the Congress include Professor Gunter Pauli, founder of Zero Emissions Research Initiatives and Tomoyo Nonaka, former CEO of Sanyo Electric.

Starting February 22, 2010, Professor Pauli stated he would publish one business innovation, designed to spark entrepreneurship, competitiveness, and employment, every week for the next 100 weeks.  He estimates these innovations could generate 100 million jobs in the next decade.  You can receive the weekly case study by registering with Zero Emissions Research and Initiatives.

Professor Pauli explains, "Our challenge today is to respond to the basic needs of all with what we have, learning from ancient systems of the pas, while drawing upon concrete innovations and examples from around the world."
