Drilling Complete: U.S. Geothermal Inc. One Step Closer in Oregon

U.S. Geothermal Inc. (Amex: HTM) has announced the completion of the fourth and final production well for the Neal Hot Springs project in eastern Oregon.
When complete the project is expected to have a generating capacity of 23 MW. The drilling and testing of the well, which is nearly 3,000 feet under the earth's suface, was completed by U.S. Geothermal Inc. and its subsidiary, USG Oregon LLC. With projects at Raft River, Idaho and San Emidio, Nevada, the Neal Hot Springs project will be U.S. Geothermal's third operating geothermal power project.
In the press release President and Chief Executive Officer Daniel Kunz said, "I am pleased that all four of these production wells came in under budget and we are able to reduce the total cost of the project by drilling smaller diameter injection wells."
