Massachusetts Power Shift: A Student Network Pressing for Unprecedented Change

The group Massachusetts Power Shift has successfully convinced the Massachusetts Legislature to pass a resolution urging federal government to take the necessary action to eliminate carbon emissions from power plants within a decade.
Massachusetts Power Shift is a statewide environmental student network. The group was formed to combat global warming, and one of their biggest priorities is taking action to power the U.S. with 100% clean energy by 2020. If this goal cannot be achieved, the group at least wants to create a larger and stronger dialogue withing the government about cutting greenhouse emissions and developing renewable resources. Massachusetts Power Shift wants "unprecedented ambitious federal solutions to global warming."
The group now intends to take their 2020 initiative to the Massachusetts congressional delegation.
