NASA has released a very clear shot of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill that was taken yesterday by their Terra Satellite:

Compare this to the April 29th NASA satellite image, you can see that the oil slick is not only a lot larger and more dispersed, as NASA points out the shape of the slick is changing into a "J" shape:

This is one of the first shots NASA took on April 25th, four days after BP's Deepwater Horizon offshore oil drilling platform sunk 5,000 feet to the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico:
