Borrego Solar Systems Signs Big Contract

Borrego Solar Systems Inc. has received a contract from the General Services Administration.

The new contract certifies Borrego Solar to provide solar installations to federal agencies.  This provision will allow the company to further expand its market reach in to the growing solar markets which are government agencies.

The GSA contract signals momentum for the San Diego solar developer. Just seven days ago the company said it secured $47 million in new funding from financial partners U.S. Bank and East West Bank. The new funds will support the construction of 12 solar installations to be built in California and Massachusetts.

“This contract win is good news for Borrego Solar, as it provides us more opportunities to partner with federal agencies and develop cost-effective solar installations,” said Borrego Solar CEO Mike Hall.

He continued, “Solar energy is a smart investment for the federal government, and we look forward to helping more agencies reduce their energy consumption and achieve energy independence through our financing, design and installation services.”
