Stunning Kia Electric POP Concept Car to Debut at 2010 Paris Motor Show

Move over, George Jetson – the future is here. If you’re in the market for a new electric vehicle that makes a statement, check out Kia Motors' new concept car.

Kia Motors Corporation will introduce its new electric concept car, the POP, at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. The Korean automaker recently released several teaser images of the stunning zero-emissions electric vehicle. The car’s eye-catching design is sure to make a splash when it makes its official debut at the show next month.

According to the very short company press release, Kia’s latest concept vehicle brings “innovative design chic and dramatic styling to the city car segment.” While details are few and far between, the car reportedly features an electric motor and next-generation lithium polymer battery.

The futuristic EV measures about 10 feet in length, just small enough to fit into those tiny parking spaces. Smaller than the Kia Picanto, POP is about the same size as the Toyota iQ, the recipient of UK’s 2010 Green Car Awards. Inspired by the Kia Ray plug-in hybrid concept car, this three-seater has a bench seat in the front and a single seat in the back.

Other features include LED lighting and an incredible “large panoramic roof” that showcases the cars’ chrome dash and rich purple interior. The vehicle also appears to sport a bumper-mounted camera and scissor doors. More details and images will be released soon.
