Waxman-Markey Bill Set for Potential House Vote on Friday

Late Monday night, House Democrats filed their latest revision of the American Clean Energy and Security Act.
The Democrats are hopeful the 1,201 page document will put to rest any outstanding concerns about the bill in time for a house vote on Friday. The Committee on Rules has issued a Thursday deadline for potential amendments to be made to the Clean Energy and Security Act.
Drew Hammill, the spokesperson for for Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) explained there is still some work to be done, but the bill is very close to being put to a vote: "there are some issues still under discussions, but we are confident we can resolve them by the time the bill goes to the floor on Friday."
